Indie horror games in development: meet Room 17 and Last Seen Online

Searching for indie horror games often brings up titles you can already play. This is a look at two that are still being built: Room 17 and Last Seen Online, our upcoming PC games. Here is what we can share today, what remains unannounced and how to support their development without confusing a preview with a release.

Room 17: a first look, not a release announcement

Room 17 is a horror game for PC. Our development estimate is 50% complete as of 23 October 2026. Its key art introduces the project, but we have not announced gameplay details or a release date. We would rather share a small amount of accurate information than imply features that have not been publicly confirmed.

The planned stores are Steam, GOG and Epic Games. The game is not published on those stores yet, so our project page does not provide a purchase or wishlist link. Store availability and release details will need to be confirmed as development progresses.

Last Seen Online: further along, still in development

Last Seen Online is also a horror PC game, with an internal development estimate of 90% as of 23 October 2026. The project page includes its own poster and the planned Steam, GOG and Epic Games availability. It is not currently published on those stores.

A progress percentage is an estimate from the team, not a promise that the remaining work will take a proportional amount of time. Testing, polish and release preparation can all affect the route to launch. We have not announced a release date, price or final feature list.

What to check when following an upcoming horror game

Keep the developer’s own page as your reference point. Games can have similar names, and a search result with the same title may belong to a different creator. For our projects, use the pages linked below rather than assuming an unrelated store listing is ours.

  • Separate concept art and posters from actual gameplay footage.
  • Treat development percentages as estimates rather than deadlines.
  • Only use store links published by the studio when they become available.
  • Check what a crowdfunding reward includes before contributing.

Support the studio behind the games

If these projects interest you, share their pages or visit our Crowdfunder. Optional Special Thanks recognition is available for supporters who want their name included; the campaign page explains any other current rewards. We do not publish budgets for these two games.

Potential investors or commercial partners can start a separate conversation through our contact page. We can discuss the project of interest and what information would be needed for a serious review. This article is a development update, not an investment offer or a guarantee of delivery.
